Samantha Vitagliano, DMD

A native of Upstate New York, Dr. Vitagliano earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  She then came to the Rochester area to pursue a post-graduate residency in general dentistry at The Genesee Hospital.  Dr. Vitagliano remained on the staff at TGH upon completion of her advanced training, serving a wide variety of patients with complex medical conditions and other special needs, as well as teaching in the residency program.  

Dr. Vitagliano joined Perinton Dental Group in 1995.  As she dedicated more time to patient care at the practice, she maintained her connections with hospital dentistry and dental resident education through volunteering at TGH and Rochester General Hospital.  The flexibility of the group practice allowed her the opportunity to serve as the director of the dental residency program at RGH for five years.  Since becoming an owner/partner at Perinton Dental Group, Dr. V has decreased her hospital responsibilities, but continues to volunteer at RGH, particularly enjoying her involvement in an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to patients with bleeding disorders.

Dr. V. is an active member of many professional associations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Hospital Dentists, and the Special Care Dentistry Association.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the AAHD.  Dr. Vitagliano is committed to life-long learning, always seeking knowledge and skills to better serve her patients.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vitagliano enjoys music, cooking, travel, and spending time with her family at their home in Victor.

Albert Zak, DDS

Following high school in the Syracuse area, Dr. Zak attended the University at Buffalo, earning both his bachelor's and his DDS degrees from UB.  He completed advanced training in general dentistry at Rochester General Hospital, and joined the dental staff at RGH after completing his residency.  He gained experience there in many complex cases, and also served as a clinical instructor and supervisor.  In addition to his practice and teaching activities at RGH, Dr. Zak was also in private practice in Newark before joining Perinton Dental Group in 2008.

Dr. Zak is commited to providing the best care for his patients, and actively pursues continuing education opportunities.  He is a member of the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association.

Dr. Zak and Dr. Yurovskiy live in Penfield with their twin sons.

Svetlana (Lana) Yurovskiy, DDS

A graduate of Penfield High School, Dr. Yurovskiy obtained her bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo, then continued at UB's School of Dental Medicine to earn her DDS.  She returned to the Rochester area to for advanced training in the residency program at Rochester General Hospital.  After residency, Dr. Yurovskiy split her time between practice in Canandaigua, practice and teaching at RGH, and serving as the staff dentist at Hill Haven nursing home in Webster.  She joined Perinton Dental Group in 2010.  Dr. Yurovskiy is also the certified Invisalign provider for our practice.

Dr. Yurovskiy is a member of the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association.  She and Dr. Zak reside in Penfield with their twin boys.
